Pride blinds the self from the true self. Blindness is a symbol of death.
The butterfly outside of the mouth is the "last breath" so to speak the butterfly is the soul, resting on the mouth, having been expelled. Under the blindfold you can see the eyes are those of the serpent, which clearly has taken the place of the butterfly.
a full view of what pride looks like..and it aint purdy!
Thank you yeah "Full View" was put there so people would look at it in full view. Also why do thing have to be plastic to be pretty? Why can't this be beautiful? Just my thought on it but I highly enjoy others insight on this. Thank you for your words.
Yes, others can see pride in Full View, yet pride itself blinds us! That is what I mean about paradox. Why can't what be beautiful? Pride? It CAN be if kept in check. In the sense of self esteem it is beautiful becaue the truth is that all persons are born with dignity, but if it gets out of control, it becomes a weapon of self destruction, as your "Full View" says to me in the symbolism.
True beauty is eternal. Plastic may appear beautiful on the surface, but inside you have nothing (either hallowness or more dead plastic). The image "Full View" is beautiful to me because it speaks the truth and TRUTH is eternally beautiful.
